Bulletin, Progressive, Record, Reporter Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2Oll 5C Greenville wins by 10 The Greenville High School boys' basketball team defeated Herlong 54-44 at the Elk Creek tournament Sat- urday, Dec. 17. The Greenville Indians led 7-6 after the first quarter and went into halftime with a 24-20 advantage. In the third quarter, Greenville outplayed Her- long 17-9. Herlong outscored Greenville 15-13 in the final period. Andrew Fairbanks totaled 19 points for the Indians, and Tony Rogers scored 16. Tucker Willits and Geof- frey Gutherie added six points apiece, and Sam Johnson finished with five. Rogers led Greenville with 10 rebounds, followed by Fairbanks with seven. Greenville finished the tournament 1-2, after loses to Princeton and Biggs. Rogers and Wyatt Van- Fleet were selected as all- tournament players. Tony Rogers gets a fast break for the Indians.
