The novelty of television kept us up until a late hour. and the temptation to stay and see the big game there almost offset the threat of having to unload a trucl- load of hay but not quite. All were glad to get home again, however. Ken Hunter was the misinfor- mant to the effect last week that Carl and Betty Paulsen were go- ing to {he big game. We now have him on our "unreliable" list. Some folks seem to wonder why we don't call and verify all the information we get--we wonder if they've ever tried making 100 cr more telephone calls here on a Wednesday--in spare moments. Production is reported to be up and overhead down at the Alman- or Lumber mill. according to Stan 1Wagler, who says that Randall Goldenson is being laid off this week on an experimental basis. Marie Riiea helped out at the post office yesterday while Lois Wiley took the day off to make a business trip to aerie. The mail distribution was slightly late. With Father Corcoran and the Altar Society as hosts, a large and successful turkey banquet was enjoyed by more than 70 peo- ple at the Masonic Hall Tuesday night. Everyone seemed to have a good time and plenty to eat-- including the Father. F4any items suitable f o r Christmas gifts will be on sale at this time, and the usual fea- tures connected with a bazaar may be expected, it was stated. The public is invited to look over the displays at any time after. 10, and plan to lunch with the W.S.C.S. at the bazaar. and all were rated at an IQ of 75 or mores--didn't know whether Phillip Murray was a labor man or not, while a generous margin were unable to say what halt of 70 is--Someone seems to have concluded there's something wrong with teaching methods.
