The Northern Section of the Cal-]
ifornia Audio-Visual Association]
held a teaching demonstration
meeting in Susanville last Satur-
day in which several local teach-
ers took part, according to H. L.
Nichols, Director of Audio-Visual
Education in Plumas County
schools.
The meeting was devoted to dis-
plays of audio-visual materials
and actual classroom demonstra-
tions on how these aids can be
used effectively in teaching the
Conservation of Natural Resourc-
es Some 200 teachers, supervisors
and school administrators from
Northern California attended. Ed-
na Kunzler, 3rd grade teacher of
Greenville Elementary school, as-
sisted with the demonstrations.
Others who attended from this
area were: Wendell Guess and
Cathryn Janshen, Taylorsville;
Amelia Uhland. Crescent Mills;
Florence Short, Cornell Kurtz, At-
dis Hyde. Hattie Firmstone, Phyl-
lis Nye and Ida Welsh of Green-
ville Elementary school. Green-
ville High School was represented
by V¢illiam Schultz, Shirley Good-
,eli. Hilmar Finne and Lee Ross.

Commander Lyal Wells presided
over the business sesmon of the Le-

Van Ronk conducted the meeting
of the Auxiliary. Plans were made
for the Christmas activities of the
groups, a dance to be staged in
the near future, and another pot-
luck dinner to be combined with
the organizations' Xmas Party on
their regular mecting date. Decem-
ber 10.
Responding to a letter from the
Greenville Chamber of Commerce
Fred Taylor was asked by the
Post to meet with the Chamber
and serve to re,res-nt the inte .ts
of the American Legion.

Mrs. Ceceflia M. Chamberlain
accompanied by her sister, Mrs.
Margaret E. Miller, left Saturday
on the California Zeptiyr enroute
to Pasadena. where they will visit
with Mrs. Miller's son. and Mrs.
Chamberiain's nephew, Lt, Col. A.
C. Miller and family. Mrs, Cham-
berlain is taking a two weeks
vacation but Mrs. Miller will re-
main with her son until after
Christmas.
