Alumnij00otball
A bunch of "old guys" got the chance to suit
up and play a game of full-contact football
last month, when two different alumni games
were held in Plumas County. The game in
Greenville, right, featured mostly Greenville
alumni and raised $1,600 for the school Oct. 29.

TU hosts presentation
Feather River Trout
Unlimited invites anglers
and photographers to enjoy
a presentation in Calpine
Nov. 17 at 5:30 p.m. in the
CIA building, next to the
post office.
Local TU members Jim
Johnston and Bill Copren
will present photos and sto-
ries from the Naknek River
in Alaska.
The presentation, titled
Affordable Alaska, tells of
fishing adventures, includ-
ing catching five species
of fish in one day on
the Naknek River, which
flows into Bristol Bay. Daily
limits were caught of silver
salmon and rainbows up to
30 inches long and 8 pounds
in weight, using 4-pound test
line. The pair also fished
the Brooks River and other
small streams located within
a one-hour flight of Anchor-
age.
