Local pro competes in Natural Olympia
Portola's Brad Loomis has
been granted a special oppor-
tunity. The Professional Nat-
ural Bodybuilding Associa-
tion (PNBA) has allowed
Loomis to compete in its
World Championships by
special invitation.
Under normal circum-
stances, bodybuilders with
the PNBA have to qualify
for the Natural Olympia by
competing in any of its other
professional shows.
Loomis was obligated to
compete professionally in a
different organization in Sep-
tember, when he placed llth
out of 12 lightweights in the
Pro International division in
Kansas City, Me.
The PNBA has recognized
that Loomis and his team,
3Dmusclejourney, have made
significant contributions to=
ward furthering natural body-
building, so are allowing him
to compete in Reno this week-
end, Nov. 11 - 13, in the three-
day extravaganza at the
Grand Sierra Resort.
Loomis will join a host of
professional natural body-
builders scheduled to com-
pete Saturday, Nov. 12, in the
all-day event. The PNBA is
giving away a car to the
overall winner.
"I have no delusions of
winning," said Loomis of the
competition. "I am just hon-
ored to compete in my own
back yard as a professional
natural bodybuilder. I am
very pleased to be in my best
condition ever, and anything
above last place will simply
be icing on the cake?'
