They made a buainees trip to Sacramento while there. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Cole of Compton, Calif., spent several days visiting their aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Gus Knoll, and aunt, Min- nie Hafner. Mrs. Dave Strong returned home from the hospital Saturday with their new daughter. Mrs. Strong celebrated her birthday on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Art Sorsoli and Sonny, Wilma Underwood and June LeRoy, left early Friday morning for San Francisco where they attended the doings at the Cow Palace. They returned home Monday. Mrs. Mathieson, of Sacramento, a former resident here, visited friends Tuesday. The Frank Knolls moved from the front Nye apartment this week. He plans to spend several weeks at Soda Rock and then re- turn to Washington. The school youngsters had a successful Hallowe'en party Wed- nesday p.m. at the Crescent Mills school, arranged by Amelia Uh- land. Many parents also attended. Mr. and Mrs. Cy Bates and Dick Hurnes of Sacramento visited Mr. Bates' aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Blil Baker Saturday. The Bates are former residents of Keddie and now are moving back there. The Meski's were former residentS here when he was employed at Frizzie's mill a few years ago. Dick and Roy Evans of Oroville dropped in to visit friends Thurs- day. Corenne Corsoli went over to Susanville one day this week to visit her sister-in-law who is seriously ill. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Kingdon Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Sam Kingdon, Jr., and Myles Timmins left early Sunday morning for Tulelake where they planned to hunt. Myles Timmins was successful in shoot- ing a doe in Modoc eounty.
