' i' The Feather River College men's soccer team improved its ranking to the 13th best Division III team in the na- tion, after a 2-0 win over Shasta College Tuesday af- ternoon, Oct. 18. After beating Butte 2-0 in Oroville the previous Fri- day, the Golden Eagles hit the road again Tuesday for a trip up to Shasta in Redding. Argentinian Augusto Bunge knocked in a goal in each haft for his eighth and ninth goals of the season, and the FRC men came away with a comfortable win against the Shasta Knights. Goal No. 1 came in the 21st minute of the match, when a long pass came to the head of Makenzie Lukas, who flicked the ball on to a speeding Bunge. Bunge had the keeper one-on-one and slotted the ball home to the far post. Bunge was not finished. In the second half, he latched on to a lovely pass from freshman Alan Castro at the left side of the penalty box and again slotted the ball to the back post of the :nights' keeper, giving FRC a 2-0 lead. "Bunge is now ranked No. 15 in the state in scorers and does not look like he is showing any signs of slow- ing UP," said FRC coach Don Williams. FRC sophomore keeper Antony Wakeford recorded his 12th shutout Of the sea- son and is ranked No. 4 in the state with a 0.47 goals- against average per game. The FRC women hosted the Sacranlento City College women Tuesday. While the Golden Eagles outshot Sac City 25-4, they, W([I( t] [ ) t able to come away with the goals they needed lot" tim win. Sac City snuck an early goal in- to the Lady Eagles' net and walked away with a 1-0 win. If you, or a loved one, has developed .0000,nDDER CANC00 .........
