County Sheriff's Office' activity log, the county correctipnal center's
booking log, and California Highway Patrol press releases. The Sheriff's
Blotter shows initial charges. In some instances the charges may
change after the dispatch report. We do not report suspects' names in
arrests for public intoxication or drunken driving unless accompanied
by another serious charge, such as probation violation, a vehicle acci-
dent or another felony. The fact that someone has been arrested and
charged with a crime does not constitute guilt. The case may never ap-
pear in court if the district attorney determines there is insufficient evi-
dence to prosecute. The fact that someone was involved in an automo-
bile collision does not constitute liability or fault. Minors are named as
legal-age drivers at 16, unless they are charged with a crime in con-

CI--IP RETORT
Rear-ended, Oct. 20
At approximately 10:50
a.m., Lisa Antonelli-Clunis,
21, of Quincy, was driving a
2003 Honda Civic westbound
on Golden Eagle Avenue just
west of Rutherford Avenue,
near Feather River College.
Antonelli-Clunis came to a
stop at the intersection of
Golden Eagle Avenue and
Rutherford Avenue while at-
tempting to make a left turn
onto southbound Rutherford
Avenue.
Jason Apolinar, 18, of
Reno, driving a 2001 Hyundai
Accent, stopped directly be-
hind Antonelli-Clunis' vehi-
cle. Apolinar's vehicle was
then suddenly struck from
behind by a 1999 Toyota
• Corolla driven by Courtney
Pulley, 25, of Portola. Accord-
ing to the CHP, Pulley had
failed to stop for the vehicles
that were stationary in the
roadway directly in front of
her. The collision caused the
Hyundai to lurch forward
and hit the rear of the Honda.
All parties pulled to the
shoulder, exchanged infor-
mation and then left the
scene.
Apolinar and his four pas-
sengers in the Hyundai later
went to Plumas District Hos-
pital for complaints of neck
pain. All five were checked
by hospital staff and none
were admitted for' treatment.
The California Highway Pa-
trol is currently investigat-
ing the collision.
Unsafe passes, Oct. 23
Bradley Bergman, 44, of
San Jose, was traveling
northbound on Highway 395
in a 2000 Chevy Silverado in
a reckless manner at high
speeds, making unsafe passes
and lane changes, according
to the CHP.
As the divided highway
ended north of Hallelujah
Junction, Bergman steered
into the southbound lane
over the double yellow lines
and proceeded to pass traffic
on a blind rise about 2:23 p.m.
Catherin Burton, 43, of Anti-
och, was traveling south-
bound in a 2005 Kia Sedona,
and crested the rise to find
Bergman's vehicle in her
lane.
Burton swerved sharply to
the right and narrowly
missed being struck head-on
by Bergman. The left front of
the Chevy hit the left side of
the Kia, causing major dam-
age along the entire left side.
After the collision, Bergman
continued traveling north-
bound using both traffic
lanes and forcing other vehi-
cles off the road. The vehicle
finally stopped approximate-
ly six-tenths of a mile north
of the Scene.
