scheduled to speak at the next
meeting of the Republican State
Central Committee, State Chair-
man T. H. Delap announced to-
' dv.
The meeting will be held in
San Diego Friday and Saturday,
November 16 and 17. and Mrs.
Viers L. Gate, Chairman of the
Plumas Co. Republican Central
Committee is planning to attend.
DeLap said, "It is indeed for-
tunate that California's three top
Republican leaders can be present
at this important meeting of the
California Republican Party or-
ganization. The fact that they will
attend and speak at the session
emphasizes the significance of the
meeting,"
The GOP State Chairman said
the San Diego session would
make many decisions which will
have an important bearing on the
1952 election campmgns. In ad-
dition, the state meeting will be
a forermmer to the Republican
National Committee meeting to be
held in San Francisco next I
January. ]

This battalion played a game
of football with a similar eleven-
man gathering from a battalion
of infantry m nearby, steaming,
tropical, romantic Salzburg today.
Our newsman from this company
rported briefly just now that the
game was most exciting. One guy
broke his leg, another one his
head, and two more were carried

and assorted cuts and lacerations.

person was chosen as newsman
was because he used to be u tele-
vision installer, and it is whisper-
ed that he has seen Drew Pearson
