tion and resisting arrest.
Spring Garden
One person was arrested on a
charge of DUI.
Fire
Thursday, Oct. 6
Gas: In Quincy, a caller
reported a heavy odor of
propane gas. Quincy fire
was paged. Coast Gas re-
sponded to the scene to
handle the incident.
Illegal: In Portola, a caller re-
ported an illegal burn taking
place. Portola fire was paged.
Smoke: In Greenville, a
caller reported seeing black
smoke coming from the Lake
Almanor area. The call was
transferred to Susanville
Interagency Fire Center.
SIFC called dispatch to
advise there were two inches
of snow in the area and they
were not concerned with a
fire. They said it was likely a
campfire or chimney smoke:
Friday, Oct. 7
Chimney: In Quincy, a caller
reported a possible chimney
fire. Quincy fire was paged.
Saturday, Oct. 8
Residential: In Beckwourth,
a caller reported her neigh-
bor's house was on fire. She
said she could see lots of
smoke and a glow from
the residence. The structure
became fully involved in
flames. Eastern Plumas and
Beckwourth fire were paged.
Sierra Valley fire also was
paged. The U.S. Forest Ser-
vice was advised. Several
calls came in reporting the
blaze. Eastern Plumas Health
Care was notified as a
precaution. The California
Highway Patrol conducted
traffic control.
Sunday, Oct. 9
Structure: In Beckwourth, a
caller reported a possible
structure fire on Highway 70
near Ross Meadow, east of
the rest stop. EPHC brought a
Loyalton ambulance to stage
near the scene. Beckwourth
fire responded. Portola and
Eastern Plumas fire were
paged for mutual aid.
Smoke: In Quincy, a caller
reported a large amount of
smoke above Chandler Road
at the Mt. Hough Road rail-
road crossing. Quincy fire
was paged for a smoke check.
The information was trans-
ferred to the USFS. Quincy
fire checked the area and
reported the smoke was
caused by a burn pile that
was staffed and had plenty of
water available.
Tuesday, Oct. 11
Propane: In Chester, a caller
reported a 250-gallon propane
tank was leaking. The call
was transferred to SIFC. A
second caller reported a
strong smell of propane. A
hole was discovered in the
tank. SIFC was advised and
responded.
Medical
Thursday, Oct. 6
Blood pressure: In Meadow
Valley, a caller requested an
ambulance for a male with
high blood pressure. The call
was transferred to Plumas
District Hospital. Meadow
Valley fire was paged and
responded.
Shaking: In Portola, a caller
reported a female who was
shaking and incoherent. The
call was transferred to EPHC.
Beckwourth fire was paged
and responded.
Friday, Oct. 7
Seizures: In Greenville, a
caller requested an ambu-
lance for his wife who .was
having seizures. The infor-
mation was transferred to
South Lassen EMS. Indian

was reportedly suffering
from dizziness and general
illness was transferred to.

reported a female who had
fallen. There was no serious
injury. No ambulance was

Crescent Mills fire was paged
and responded.
Airway: In Quincy, a caller
reported her toddler had a
piece of food blocking her air-
way and was turning blue.
PDH and Quincy fire were
paged and responded. While
on the phone, the caller said
the food became dislodged
and she could hear the child
talking.
Overdose: In Portola, a caller
reported her 17-year-old
daughter had possibly over-
dosed and was vomiting a
black, tarry substance. The
call was transferred to EPHC.

Fall: In Crescent Mills, a
caller requested an ambu-
lance for her husband who
fell from a ladder. The call

found on a front porch in Quincy just
hanging out.
Shelter hours are Monday, Wednesday & Friday 8am-5pm, closed 1-2pro for lunch and
closed weekends. Plumas Animal Services charges a $10 fee and license fees are $5 per year.
An officer will deliver a pet to the adopting party's veterinary of choice to have the animal
