members of the tourism.
industry took part in the two-
hour brainstorming session,
designed to gather ideas for
promoting tourism in the
wake of recent county budget
cuts to the Plumas County
Visitors Bureau and chambers
of commerce. The group
shared a wide array of ideas
and some complaints about
tourism budget cuts. Kennedy
stressed his goal is to find a
way to generate more tourism
revenue with the resources
available. The meeting didn't
produce any definitive ways
to do that. And no date was
set for a second gathering. But
Kennedy encouraged the group
to send him ideas. "1 don't have
the answer. But I know there is
an answer," Kennedy said.
