The Plumas County Public
Health Agency has an-
nounced its seasonal influen-
za drive-through vaccination
clinic schedule for the upcom-
ing flu season. There will be
plenty of vaccine available for
Plumas County residents.
Clinics will begin Oct. 24.
All clinics will be held from
11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Clinic days
are as follows:
Portola/Beckwourth: Oct. 24
Greenville: Oct. 25
Chester: Oct. 27
Quincy: Oct. 28

of serious complications
from flu are strongly encour-
aged to get the flu vaccine,
including pregnant women
and people with asthma, dia-
betes, chronic heart and lung
disease, or other chronic
conditions.
Parents and family me m -
bers of babies less than 6

be held Oct. 31 - Nov. 3.
In addition to getting a flu
vaccination, those 65 and
older and those with chron-

ask their doctor if they
should be vaccinated
against pneumococcal pneu-
monia, if they have not al-
ready received a dose.
Pneumococcal pneumonia
is a common and potentially
serious complication of the
flu. Unlike the influenza
vaccine, the pneumococcal
vaccine does not need to be
given every year. Plumas
County Public Health Agency
has the pneumococcal vac-
cine available. To make an
appointment, call 283-6330.

50 years
of wedded bliss ...
Iohnny & Judy Moore
50th Wedding Anniversary
Oct. 21, 2011
For John and Judy
'Twas a bright summer's day when into this place
Flew a great aviator, his friends called him Ace.
His plane was all brown and really quite chintsy
He said what the hell, let 'era know I'm from Quincy.
Some of the guys said he was a bit tipsy,
In an old leather jacket he looked like a gypsy.
He surveyed the crowd, had an eye for great beau W.
He looked them all over and he picked out Judy.
He said "I'll be true and I'll look at no other."
A voice said "You better," her big six-foot brother.
They set up an airfield, gave students the course,
She said "You do the flying, I'll ride my horse."
The students all loved him, they came and they went.
They flew and they flew, with na W a dent.
They raised up their children and set them both free
And taught them to fly, of course for a fee.
Flew into the sunset, a long lovely ride.
The great aviator, and Judy, his bride.
By: Frank D. Davis
Celebrating 50 years of love and adventure
thanks to all of you who came along for the ride!
