Women's Golf Club
With the golf season wind-
ing down, the Graeagle Mead-
ows Women's Golf Club com-
plet, ed their Ace of Aces com-
petition Sept. 29 with the final
playoff. Priscilla Piper Won
for low gross score and Bar-
bara Crist had the best low
net score.
Members also played the
game of T's and F's. Only
scores on holes beginning
with a T or F were counted. In
the first flight Barbara. Crist
won for low net. Jacquie Me-
Master came in second with
Debbie Peterson taking third
place. Donna Swanson won for
low net in the second flight
with Jay Fisher taking second
place. Lorraine Cornish came
in third. There was a tie for
fourth place between Jennifer
Baker and Giuliafia Glazer.
Jennifer Baker, Priscilla
Piper and Wanda Wideriksen
had chip-ins.

Women's Golf Club
Sept: 29 was our Mixed
Couples Tournament. This is
always a fun event, as it is
our final one tot the season.
First place went to Judy
and Burt Cooper with a 61.86.
Second place was Carolyn
and Mike Willhoit with a 62.
Third place was 3anice Nel-
son and Frank Neth with a
62.68.
Fourth place was Lori and
Hal Sinclair with a 63.12.
Fifth place was Barbara
Rolland and Rich Ryerson
with a 65.02.
Sixth place was Peggy and
Will Wright with a 65.13.
Accuracy went to Janice
Nelson and Frank Neth.
On No. 12, closest to the pin
went to Judy and Burr Cooper.
On No. 15, closest to the pin
went to Lori and Hal Sinclair.
There was a shoot-out of
seven couples and it was won
by Lori and Hal Sinclair.

GOLF TOURNAMENTS
Oct. 15
The 30th annual PurPle
Pride Golf Tournament will
be held Saturday, Oct. 15, at
Plumas Pines Golf Resortl
with a shotgun start at 10 a.m.
The tournament is being or-
ganized by the Portola Boost-
er Club, which helps fund ath-
letics and academics at Porto-
la High School.
The cost is $100 and in-
cludes 18 holes of golf, a cart
and a steak dinner. Dinner
can be purchased by non-
golfers for $25. There will also
be a great prize drawing.
Donations and tee sponsors
are still needed.

The Greenville High School
Booster Club is sponsoring its
llth annual golf tournament
at Mt. Huff Golf Course Satur-
day, Oct. 22, with a tee time of
9:30 a.m.
The cost is $50 for 18 holes
of golf and a taco lunch. Prize
drawing tickets, contests and
drinks will be sold separately.
