His wife Carlye came up Friday niKht and visited Mr. and Mrs. George Boyden, returning to the bay area Sunday. Mrs. Charles Taresh and Mrs. Bert Awbzy and daughter shopped in Susanville Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Joey Sobero and daughters of Manteca came up Wednesday to do some hunting be- fore returning home on Sunday. They stayed with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sobrero and family and visited other relatives. Coming up from Oroville Thurs- day was Walter Cannon who visit- ed his sisters, Mrs. Goldie Taresh and Mrs. Dorothy Fisher and their families. Mr. and Mrs. Aldo Sorsoli and Johnny McLain went to Reno Thursday. Mrs. Muriel Maunder of Bloat came Friday to spend three days with her brother Cecil Stephenson and family and friends. George Young of San Francisco spent the weekend with his mother Florence Young and other rela- tives. Mr. and Mrs. Woodard have moved here from Belden and are living in Sorsoli's apartment. Bob Cooke and Eddie Crum of Reno spent the weekend with Mrs. Timey Cooke. Mrs. Flossie Thompsen accom- panied Mr. and Mrs. Tom Haskins and Earl Haskins here Friday after spending a week in Grass Valley with her 1brothers. The Native Sons held a meeting Tuesday night with thre visitors from Quincy attending. Ladies Aid will meet Wednes- day, Oct. 10 at Mrsl Gussie Boy- at 10 o'clock. Mr. anti Mrs. Les Porter have returned to their home in Lan- caster after spending a week with Mr. and Mrs. Tony Freeman. Mrs. Maude Taylor and friend of San Francisco came Monday to spend several days here. E. P. Waller of Martinsville, Virginia, will arrive Wednesday to be with his sister Mrs. Jean Clarke and help her move to Mission, Tex., and get settled there.
