Bulletin, Progressive, Record, Reporter Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011 3C GOLF RESULTS Bailey Creek Sept. 21 was Guest Day at Bailey Creek and the for- mat was "Ones" minus half your handicap. First flight winners were: first, Wynnetta Regli; sec- ond, Mary Ashburn; third, Linda Layland. Second flight winners were: first, Joan Eychner; second, Dana Seandel; third, Joyce Putnam. Mary Ashburn broke 100 and Linda Layland birdied hole No. 4. Our guests were Maryann Broderick and Dana Seandel from LACC and doyce Putnam from Berkeley. LACC Women's Golf On Sept. 19, the Lake A1- manor Country Club host- ed a play day for the PWGA with a great attendance from Northern California. The day consisted of an in- dividual score and a team score. The wins were all over the. board and shared by many different repre- senting clubs. The day end- ed with a great luncheon at Lake Almanor Country Club. On Sept. 20, our weekly tournament was held and the results were as follows. Flight" One: first place, Cindy Wittenberg; second, Kathy Chuchel; third, Madeline Furman and Trudy Leete. Flight Two: first, Joan Johnson; second, Jude Morse, Peggy Lentz and Angie Gamble. Chip-ins: Darlene Don- aldson and Joan Johnson. Birdies: Sue Sutton. Whitehawk Ranch Ladies Golf The ladies at Whitehawk Ranch completed two days of competition for the Club Championship and Cap- tain's Cup. The weather was beautiful, clear, calm and quite warm. After Tuesday's round there were some great scores, and Wednesdays = play continued the trend, Mm'ia Zeigler and Sharon Russell were tied for low gross and played a three- ho.le playoff. Marcia Zeigler was declared winner after the third hole. Results: Club Champi- onship: Marcia Zeigler, first place; Virginia Lhur- ing, second place; Diane Romig, third place. Captain's Cup: Sharon Russell, first place; Cynthia Faulk, second place; Denise Stein, third place. Lake Almanor West Women's Club The game today was Three Clubs and A Putter -- we sure had fun. In the first flight, Julie Azevedo took first place us- ing her driver, 5 wood and a 9 iron, and her putter; Lori Sinclair took second place. In the second flight, Car- ol Regimbal took first place with her 3 wood, 6 hybrid club, pitching wedge and, of course, her putter. Shirley Friedrichs came in second in that flight. This was the last of our regular games for the sea- son. Next week we will have a mixed couples tour- nament. Graeagle Meadows Women's Golf Club On Thursday, Sept. 22, the Graeagle Meadows Women's Golf Club played the final qualifier in their Ace of Aces competition. Winning low gross this week was Barb Crist. Gail Nelson won for low net over the field. In the first flight Priscilla Piper won low gross. Barb Crist had the best low net score with Bey Reynolds taking second place. In the second flight Ann Pratt won for low gross with Lorraine Cornish winning low net. Dee Walker took second place. There was a tie for third place between Wanda Wideriksen and Giu- liana Glazer. Jay Fisher had the low gross score in the third flight. Renee Gielow won for low net with Carla Gibson taking second place. Lorraine Cornish, Esther Rimbault, Susan Wiese, Gail Nelson, Barb Crist, Ann Pratt, Carla Gibson and Judy Porep-Lullo had chip-ins.
