Skip Makes a Slip
Miss Gilbert, the teacher, was From where I sit, I hope this
telling me how Skip Lawson almost
went to sleep in her physics class.
She noticed him nodding and
since they were discussing dec-
tricity--said in a loud voice: "Now
maybe MR. LAWSON will explain
what electricity is." Skip started
up, looked around wildly, and
blurted out, "Gee! I used to know,
but I forgot."
"What a loss to science!" sighs
Miss Gilbert. "No one to this day
knows what electricity really is,
and here we have a genius who
could explain it--but forgot!"
taught Skip that you're better off
if you admit you don't know all an-
swers. Some grownups lven't
learned that yet--like the ones who
are always telling other people
what's best and what's right and
what's wrong. I like a temperate
glass of beer, myself, but if you
prefer buttermilk I won't argue.
I've seen too many 'qnow-it-alls"
turn out to be wrong!

Right at this moment, there are thousands of people in
America who are just about ready to end all compromise
insofar as motor cars are concerned--and order a Cadillac.
If you are one of these--go ahead and order it! It will
be the wisest motor car decision you ever made.
First of all, consider the car's reputation. Wherever
highways lead, there is general recognition that Cadillac
is the Standard of the World. Not only is this an end-
less source of pride and satisfaction to the Cadillac
owner--but it is incontestable proof of Cadillac's historic
quality. Such a reputation could come only from long-
continued superiority.
And then consider what Cadillac brings you in
terms of every-day satisfaction.
found in an hour at the whed. To ride is to rest--and
to drive is to relax.
But over and above all this is an argument in favor
of Cadillac so practical and conclusive that it should be
hard for anyone to ignore:
The lowest-priced model of this great and distinguished
motor car is priced competitively with numerous and varied
models'produced by other manufacturers. Yes--every day
--scores of people actually pay the price of a Cadillac
--and still don't get one!
Add to this moderate cost the further fact that few
ears--of any price--will run farther on a gallon of
gasoline--and even economy points to Cadillac!
