REPORT OF PROCEEDWGS OF 00EN'S CALENDAR BOARD OF SUPERVISORS The division of fish and game reminds California sports- of the following regulations: DEER season in this area begins September 22, clases in Range September 16. BEAR season opens November 1 here, two weeks eazlier other places. Del Norte, Humboldt, and Mendocino counties with no limit. JACK RABBITS now open, no limit. BRUSH and COTTONTAIL RABBITS; closes September 30. DOVE season now open; closes September 30. The roll is called and there are .cresent: Supervisors A. C. Don- qenwirth, J. F. Flanagan, C. E. Blackman, J. C. Cloman and Chairman E. J. Humphrey. Since copies of the minutes of the previous meetings have been mailed to each Supervisor; the Chairman orders that the minutes be approved as mailed. Motion made by Supervisor Cloman, seconded by Supervisor Donnenwirth, that Ralph A. Mat- lice be appointed asia Trustee of the Quincy Cemetery District, to replace J. D. Patterson, resigned. Carried and so ordered. Motion made by Supervisor Flanagan, seconded by Supervisor Donnenwirth, that this Board de- clare the offfice of Director of the Plumas County Chamber of Com- merce, representing the 5th Sup- crvisorial District, vacant due tc the period of absence of John A Ferrari from the County, and that Archie A. Hamlin be appointed as a Director of the Plumas County Chamber of Commerce. Carried and so ordered. Motion made by Supervise: Fla ;an, seconded by Supervise} Blackman, that the County Audit- or be authoried to transfer $3,521.- 0@ from the General Reserve to the Junior College Fund, same to be a loan and to be repaid when tax monies accrue. Carried and so ordered. Motion made by Supervisor Donnenwirth, seconded by Sup- ervisor Flanagan, that the Claim of John E. Farnsworth in the a- mount of $465.00 against funds of Fish and Game monies, be re- duced to $45000 to conform with former Board action stating tha no individual will be paid more than $450.00 per year from these monies. Carried and so ordered. Motion made by Supervisor Donnenwirth, seconded by Super- visor Cloman, that this Board ratify and confirm the Agreemenl duly executed by the.-Beckwourtb Airport Committee and Frank Nervino, and that the Chairman ........... nd Clerk of this Board be auth- orized to execute same. Motion made by Supervisor Donnenwirth. seconded by Super- visor Cloman, that this Board of Supervisors make a formal re- quest to the University of Calif- ornia for a Home Economics Ad- visor to serve Plumas and Sierra Counties, with the understanding that this person will be available to all citizens of both counties, and that expenses incurred will be shared 75% and 25% proportion- ately by Plumas and Sierra Coun- ties, with money be appropriated in our local budget when assur- ance is given that the services of this person will be avilable. On motion made by Supervisor Donnenwirth, second- ed by Supervisor Blackman, and unanimously carried, IT IS OR- DERED that the report be accept- ed as presented and that the re- quest for medical care be author- ized, and IT IS FURTHER OR- DERED that the County Auditor be authorized to issue warrants in payment of the ad amourts. Motion made by Supervisor Donnenwirth, seconded by"Sup- visor Cloman, that $495.00 be al- located from the budget for rec- reational facilities for park areas, to the Edith Martin Park in Ches- ter, with regular county claims being presented for expenses in- curred.
