here visiting her daughter and
family, Mrs. Marion Cordoza. She
came up with Betty Milton and
family when they returned from
their vacation last Monday.
Della Fickhardt is recuperating
after an automobile accident last
week on the Greenville grade.
Crescent School has an enroll-
ment of 28 pupils.
Mr. and Mrs. Mac Purcell re-
turned last week from a week's
stay in the bay area.
Bill Wolbert of Oakland spent
seyeral days here visiting friends.
Dinner guests Thursday night
at the Hank Sanders home includ-
ed Bill Wolbert, and Mr. and Mrs.
Huyette of Westwood.
Mr. and Mrs. Cutler Porter and
Mrs. Hohnes of Susanville came
over Sunday to visit Mr. and Mrs.
Sam Kingdon. They all spent the
day at Rush Creek.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Steen of
Oroville, spent the weekend visit-
ing Mr. and Mrs. Leon Steen and
family.
Mr. and Mrs Buckner of San
Francisco are visiting Mr. and
Mrs Gus Knoll and other friends.
Mrs. Buckner (Hazel Uren) went
to school here. It has been many
years since she visited her old
school friends.
Mrs. Rose Black and son Wal-
ter of Walnut Creek are spending
several days visiting the A. J.
and Cliff Sheehan families. Mrs.
Black is Mrs. A. J. Sheehan's sis-
ter. Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Shee-
han and Mrs. Black and son went
over to Susanville to visit their sis-
ter, Mrs. Hayes who is ill in the
hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. James Radick of
Oakland visited his sister and fam-
ily, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Tatro La-
bor Day weekend.
Mary Sims celebrated her birth-
day Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs.
Iohn Sims and children of West-
wood came over to enjoy the birth-
day cake and coffee in the evening
in Corenne Sorsoli's home.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Baker, Roy
Baker and Mary Sims went down
to Oroville last Monday afternoon. =
Mrs. Angelena Casalio of Oak-
land and Mrs. John Sobrero visit-
ed Mrs. Corenne Sorsoli one after-
noon last week.
Mrs. Tillie Lewis spent a week in
Sacramento visiting her daughters,
and their families Mr. and Mrs.
Duvall and Mr. and Mrs. PJumber.
They went out to the Fair several
times. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Du-
vall and children drove her home
Friday evening and remained for
the weekend.
Mrs. Faye Seymore and daugh-
ter Mary, visited Mr. and Mrs. Phil
McCutcheon Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Stockton
stopped by to visit Mrs. Stockton's
mother and sister and family on
their way to Quincy to see the
automobile races Sunday.
Bucky Strong, Elmer Lewis and
Nadine Brown all leave on Tues-
day for Chaco to enroll in college
on Wednesday. Nadine decided to
stay here in California for her
schooling rather than Tacoma,
Washington.
Mr. and Mrs. Leon Steen and
children spent last weekend in
Oroville.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Duvall, and
family, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Robin-
son and son, and Mr. and Mrs.
Clyde Stockton were all dinner
guests of Mrs. Tillie Lewis Sun-
day.
Miss Uhland, Mrs. Madigan,
Mrs. Sheehan and Mrs. Nye
attended teacher's institute Satur-
day at the Quincy High School.

Stan Tonkin and daughter, Pen-
nv. of Fall River Mills, stopped by
to visit friends Sunday. Mr. Ton-
kin was the Shell Oil distributor

Mrs. Plumie Nye enjoyed a drive
around Lake Almanor and to
Chester one afternoon this week.
Mr. and Mrs. Plumie Nye spent
several days visiting in Standish
wth her daughter and family, Mr.
and Mrs. Babe Ragsdale.

list this week.
Mr. and Mrs. James Lynch of
the bay ara arrived Tuesday to
visit a few days with Mr. and Mrs.
Jake DeHahn.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Davis of
Carey, Idaho are here visiting her
brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs.
Myles Timmins. They met Mrs.
Mae Williams of Los Angeles in

together.
