Country music legend Lacy J. Dalton is the headliner they wish to bring in for a special Friday night mini concert on Main Street. The first fundraiser is this weekend: a Lacy J. table at the community yard sale in the parking lot next door to the will begin soon, with delivery by Christmas. Monthly bingo games and other fundraisers were discussed during the first planning meeting last week. Some ideas for new fun include a posse to round up some prominent parade spectators for a ride in Pinkston's Paddy Wagon, with bail-outs to occur in the announcing area. They thought of two local law enforcement officers with horses they will ask to help with that idea. Another was for several photo-op boards to be staged around town, like a gold miner and a donkey, a faceless saloon girl and others. receive support from the community, asking them to participate in the parade with floats, not only to spread their message, but also for a chance to earn another $50 to $200 if they win one of the top three awards. "The men's best beard and legs contest was a big hit, and will probably be staged again next year, as will several other popular attractions and activities.
