THE DEATHLY HALLOWS, PART 2
~Thurs., Aug. 11 - Tues., Aug. 16
Rated PG-13 * 130 rain. ° Fantasy/Adventure
In Part 2 of the epic finale, the
battle between the good and evil forces of the
wizarding world escalates into an all-out war.
The stakes have never been higher and no one is
safe. But it is Harry Potter who may be called
upon to make the ultimate sacrifice as he draws
closer to the climactic showdown with Lord
Voldemort. It all ends here.
WINNIE THE POOH
Thurs., Aug. 18 - Sat., Aug. 20
Rated G ° 70 min. ° Animated Family Film
This is the first big-screen Pooh adventure
in classic, hand-drawn art style from
Disney animation in more than 35 years.
With the charm, wit and whimsy of the
original featurettes, this all-new movie
reunites audiences with the philosophical
"bear of very little brain" and friends
Tigger, Rabbit, Piglet, Kanga, Roo -- and
last, but certainly not least, Eeyore, who
has lost his tail. "Well a tail is either there
or it isn't there," said Pooh. "And yours
isn't ... there." Owl sends the whole gang
on a wild quest to save Christopher Robin
from an imaginary culprit. It tarns out to be
a very busy day for a bear who simply set
out to find some hunny.

business, home or barn? If
you answer yes to any of
these questions, Plumas Arts
invites you to be part of a new
countywide event Sept. 17 - 18
-- the Plumas Arts Tour.
The tbur blends elements of
an artist studio tour with the
painted barn quilt efforts of
many local groups and indi-
viduals. It gives visitors --
and locals looking to explore
home a bit -- a feel for our
communities and the beauty
of our surroundings as they
tour around the Lake A1-
manor Basin, Indian Valley,
Quincy and Eastern Plumas
County. It Will showcase
many impressive, diverse lo-
cal artists and allow people to
experience and support local
arts in a very direct way.
"This is the first year Of
this event," said Roxanne
Valladao, who, with Lori
Davis and Cary Walters, is
coordinating the event at
Plumas Arts. "We began with
a concept and some models
that we are following, but the
event is very much taking on
a life of its own."
A Plumas County Arts,
Tourism and Economic De-
velopment grant will allow
Plumas Arts to work with the
local chambers of commerce
to oversee the event and pay
some promotion and produc-
tion costs.
Plumas Arts will create
a printed color catalog and
map of participating artists,
studios, galleries and Venues
as well as locations of barn
quilts. The catalog will be:
come the event "ticket" that
will be sold for $10 each. There
are also opportunities to
purchase ads in this catalog.
"We felt it was very
important that we kept fees as
low as possible to make it
widely inclusive and accessi-
ble," the coordinators said.
To be included in the tour,
a $25 listing fee for each
artist and venue as well as an
annual Plumas Arts member-
ship of $40 is requested. A $10
fee is requested to map barn
quilt locations..
Plumas Arts is working to
meet a printing deadline of
Aug: 22, so interested parties
+are requested to make contact
as soon as possible. Artist,
venues and quilt location par-
ticipant forms are available
to be downloaded on the
plumasarts.org website.
