From where I sit, when psychol-
ogists try to set up a standard for
a sense of humor they're getting
too serious for me. Stands to rea-
son that different people laugh at
different things, just as they have
different tastes for most every-
thing. I'm partial to a glass of
beer with meals myself--but I
promise not to make any "wise-
cracks" if you prefer tea.

VOR GOP FUNDS
Plumas County Republicans
raised over 100% of their State
Committee quota, advises Chair-
man Flora Cate of Quincy. The
Republican State Central Commit-
te reports that of the 46 of the
58 counties of California report-
ing, Plumas County stands 3rd in
raising their State Committee
quota. Plumas County is one of
ten counties raimng over 100%
of their State Republican Commit-
te quota. The Republicans of Plu-
mas County. are justly proud of
their standing and feel that this
is a boost for Plumas County.
SLIGHT CHANGE MADE
IN SCHOOL BUDGET..
FOR COMING YEAR
With a reduction of some $252,
the publication budget of the Plu-
ma Unified School district for the
coming year, in the ag/regate
amount of $1,393,611, was adopted
at a hearing held in Quincy last
Thursday, advises Grant B.
Youngs.

Rogers and McCutcheon of the
