June 5, 1951 We, the undersigned members of the Board of Supervisors of hc County of Plumas, State o California, hereby request that a Special Meeting of this Board be held on Monday, June 25th, 1951 at 10 o'clock A.M., for the fol- lowing purposes: 1. Public Auction 2. Welfare matters 3. Budget matters 4. Road matters 5. Appropriations of money 6. Greenville Branch Library 7. Bids for construction of Junior Exhibit Bldg. at Fair Grounds E. J. Humphrey, Chairman A. C .Donnenwirth C. E. Blackman J. C. Cloman James F. Flanagan The roll is called and there are present: A. C. Donnenwirth, James F. Flanagan, C. E. Black- man, J. C. Ctoman and Chair- man E. J. Humphrey. This being the time and place set for he public auction of three (3) 14 inch Underwood Typewrit- ers and one (1) Merchant Calcu- lator, and bids having been op- ened by the Chairman, and A1 Topaz of the Plumas Office Equipment Company having been the only bidder in the sum of Four Hundred Seventy Eight Dollars and Ninety Five Cents ($478.95), IT IS ORDERED that the said typewriters and calculat- or be, and the same are hereby old o A1 Topaz of the Plumas Office Equipment Company. Motion made by Supervisor Donnenwirth. seconded by Super- visor Biackman, that the sum re- ccved from the sale of the three t+ypewriters and one calculator belonging to the office of the County Clerk and Auditor be de- posited in the Unappropriated Reserve; and that this Board au- thorize the transfer of said sum $473.95) from the Unappropriat- ed Reserve to the County Gen- eral Fund to be appropriated to the O4fice of the County Clerk and Auditor for the purchase of three new 14 inch typewriters, same being done in accordance with Section 29151 of the Gov- ernment Code of the State of California. Motion made by Supervisor C!oman. seconded by Supervisor Blackman) that the Clerk of this Board be instructed to send a telegram to Governor Earl War- ren urging his approval of Sen- ae Bill 1093. Carried and so or- dered. l.otion made by Supervisor Blackman, seconded by Super- visor Donnenwirth,, that in ac- cordance with the request of Sheriff Schooler, the County of Plumas allow sixty five cents ($.65) per prisoner meal instead of the fifty cents now being paid. Motion made by SupervisOr Dorrnenwirth,.seconded by Super- vLor Blackman, that this Board approve the improved coverage for dependents under the group hospitalization plan for Plumas Covnty, and that the county's contribution p e r employee's premmm be increased from $1.50 to $1.65. Carried and so ordered. Motion made by Supervisor Flanagan, seconded by Supervis- or Blackman, that the County Auditor be authorized to transfer $428.90 from the Unappropriated Reserve to the Salary Fund, with $50.90 to be credited to Other Wages within the budget of Farm Advisor to meet an unforeseen paid vacation; and $378.00 to be credited to the salary of Sr. En- gineering Aide within the budget of the County Surveyor to pay for the advancement in salary range for Marcus McBeen, St. AYES: Supervisors Flanagan, Blaekman, Cloman and Humphrey. Motion made by Supervisor Donnenwirth, seconded by Super- visor Blackman, that the District Attorney be instructed to pre- pare an amendment to Salary Or- dinance No. 290, which will in- crease the position of Legal Sten- ographer in the office of District Attorney from Rauge 12 to Range i4. Carried and so ordered. Motion made by Supervisor Cloman, seconded by Superwisor Blackman, that the District Attor- ney be instructed to prepare an additional amendment to salary ordinance No. 290, which will in- crease the positions of Depttty Sheriff from Range i to 16 and the position of Undersheriff frm Range 15 to 18, same being in ac- cordance with the recommenda- tion of the California State Per- sonnel Board. Carried and so or- dered. Motion made by SuperviSor Donnenwirth, seconded by Super- visor Flanagan, that the salaries of the Road Commissmner, Treas- urer, Recorder, Assessor and Tax Collector, Surveyor and SheriSf be increased $600.00 per year; that the salary of the Constable of Quartz Township be increased $450.00 per year; that the salaries of all other Constables he increas ed$240.00 per ,ear; that all stat- ed increases be made effective as of July 1,. 1951; and that the District Attorney be instructed t prepare an Ordinance covering these increases. Motion made by Supervisor Flanagan, seconded by Supervis- or Donnenwirth, that effective July 1, 1951, the County Librariar be placed in the step of her sut- ary range to which her servic with Plumes County entitles ¢r.
