'" ' " ' ' I AUTOMOBILE THIEF APPREHENDED BY SPELLMEYER Roy Thomas of Susanville is in the county jail awaiting hearing in the Superior Court, in connec- tio with the theft of a car be- longing to Edith Potts of Green- ville, it was learned today. Thomas was apprehended by De- puty Sheriff Ed Spellmeyer and remanded to Superior Court in a hearing yesterday morning at the justice Coxtrt of J. F. Standart. The car was found on the old Taylorsville road. about 3 miles l *.)m Greenville. Thomas was .harged with violation of Sec. 503 cf the Motor Vehicle Code. SUSTAINS BROKEN LEG I[; CAR ACCIDENT Mrs. Leo Henninger is in the hospital suffering from a broken le a lacerated scalp and 9ore- head as the result of an auto ac- cident in which she was involved lsat Saturday night, in the vicinity of the new Mt. Hough mill. The Henninger car, driven by Leo, was travelling tward town. t was reported, when it met the car driven by Leo Vial. In order to avoid a collision, Mr. Hennin- ger pancaked his car on the side of the road, overturning it with injuries to his wife. The other car was unaffected, while Leo sustain- ed only mild shock. Report was made by Harry Ri- lea of the mill to Ed Spellmeyer, who in turn notified the Highway • "atrol and summoned the ambu- lance. BOB STOCKTON NOW STATIONED IN OREGON Robert L. Stockton. seaman ap- prentice, US'N, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Stockton of Qreenville, recently reported for duty at the U. S. Naval Station, Tongue Point. Astoria, Oregon. Stockton entered the laval service March. 7, 1951, and re- ceived his recruit training at the U. S. Naval Training Center, San Diego.
