CHAS. WALTER$, N.G.
Dear Editor: In addressing this
communication to you, it is my
expressed hope that it will be
read by the Plumas Unified
School Board member who re-
ferred to the Greenville group as
a "pressure group" when they re-
cently appeared before the Board.
Mr. tard member, do you
realize that the groups which
presented a petition-bearing 484
signatures of Greenville residents
urging the re-hiring of Mr. Charles
Edmondsen as a member of their
high school faculty was. rather,
the people exercising their de-
mocratic rights ?
It is to be hoped that your, un-
fortunate utterance does not re-
flect the attitude uf your fellow
Board members.
:lV[r, Edmondsen's merit as a
teacher I do not pretend to know,
but in my: opinion it would seem:
that as a Board member, you
might well give respectful at-
tention t the demands of your
constituents. They elected y,u to
your prcsent office. They pay this
teacher's salary, and their child-
ren receive instruction from him.
Respectfully Yours,
Mrs. Ilah Hanley.
Mrs. Icie Quigley was rushed
to "the Westw, ovd Clinic one day!

Mrs. John Young drove to Man-
ton Saturday to get her daughter
Judith Pike who will spent her
summer vacation here.
