artistic talents of the Plumas
community need only attend
this event. From the servings
of restaurants and wineries
to the extraordinary collec-

creativity of the community
is only outdone by its
generosity.
The event is one of the
most important fundraisers
for "can-do" community
cultural arts organization
Plumas Arts. Love movies
and concerts at the Town
Hall Theatre? Mountain
Harvest Festival? Almanor
Art Show? Words & Music?
The Art Barn at the County
Fair? Plumas Arts Gallery?
Art displays and so many
great cultural events in
Plumas County? Then come
on out and support this great"
organization. Organizers say
that, especially in the current
tumultuous financial climate,
this fundraiser is more
important that ever.
Begtnning
our 27th year
in business!
During the past 26 years, we are proud
to have built more than 70 homes and 100
garages in Plumas County, not to mention
the hundreds of remodels, additions and
insurance repairs we've .Jne as well.
With the change in the economy
(specifically, fewer new housing starts),
my business partner (and son) Donavon
and I knew we had to change our business
model. We're not going anywhere, and
we still build new homes, garages
and commercial buildings.
So, in the past year we found there
was a real need to assist homeowners
in making their existing homes more
efficient, attractive and valuable. We've
helped lots and lots of people with all
kinds of projects
that might have
only taken
15 minutes
to several
days or
weeks to
complete.
And, if we
couldn't do their job, we'd
make sure to connect them with some-
one who could.
It's that kind of service and satisfaction
that will help take us through our next
25 years!!!

Plus, and probably the best
reason to attend, is the fact
that this is a really great
event. "People love seeing the
hall full of food and people
and colors and smiles. It is
a very happy time, and
especially in hard times it
is very important to have
fun," comment the event
coordinators.
Items for silent auction are
as diverse and wonderful
as the food on the tables.
Patrons can bid for adven-
tures like: five days in a
condo in Zihuatanejo, sym-
phony tickets, a serenade,
scenic flights, electrical
work, consultation by a
master gardener, Spanish
lessons, tax preparation, orig-
inal art, framed prints, movie
posters a'nd many unique
items and much, much more.
Check a current list of items
on the Taste of.Plumas Web
page at plumasarts.org.
Cafe LeCoq's handmade pate was a favorite at last year's event.
American Valley Baking turns a food staple, bread, into art
(above).
Bella Luna Catering is among the many restaurants, caterers
and food businesses that will serve up their specialties at
Taste of Plumas. Organizers at Plumas Arts report a record-high
number of food providers and wineries for this year's event.
