VIPs of the Month
6th & 7th Grade
Volleyball Team
Congratulations to this energetic young
team for their victory in winning all
three games in their first match against
Fort Sage Middle School. That was an
excellent performance after only three
practices, with great passing and only a
few serves missed. Good luck in the
season and keep up the good work.
Taylorsville Elementary School Class of the Month
Karen Williams, 1st - 3rd Grades
These energetic and well-be-
haved first through third
graders have been busy this
year. They enjoy learning read-
ing and arithmetic in individ-
ual grades, but as a larger
group they enjoy things like
social studies. One such adven-
ture in learning was to track
Iditarod participants along
their 1,150 trek across the
mountains, frozen rivers and
dense forests of Alaska. Besides social studies, there was some math, science and geogra-
phy included in the adventure. Now the students are studying matter and energy in sci-
ence, and next will be astrology with a trip to the planetarium in Reno.
