Lynn Hartzler is an
emerging jewelry artist who
has recently moved to the
Portola area from Quincy.
He successfully held ex-
hibits of his unique crafts-
manship at several artist
venues in Quincy, and is
soon to announce an upcom-
ing jewelry show at Sprout-
ing Roots Community Mar-
ket -- a health food store in
Portola.
His style of jewelry mak-
ing and marketing is in-
stinctive. To illustrate, he
described a chance en-
counter with one of his fu-
ture clients.
"This lady was walking
down the street," Hartzler
explained. "And I could tell
she was just in town -- a
tourist-type thing- so I
knew I had time. I ran to my
studio and I made something
that matched her dress, and
I chased her down! I made a
pearl and abalone (piece).
