"Practice in a cold and poorly lit room and driving in winter conditions made for an interesting week." said Chester coach Tom Maumoynier. Despite the weather, the team made it down to the Di- vision III and IV Sectional Championships in Willows and had a great deal of suc- cess last weekend. If competing in Division III, Chester would have fin- ished ~[n second place, but as a Division IV school, the Volcanoes could not ~eceive the runner-up award. Chester earned two indi- vidual titles. Clay Buchanan won at 105 pounds and West- ley Ruffer won at 162 pounds. The Volcanoes had three wrestlers finish second: Dy- lan Ruffer (132 pounds), Rocklin Loranger (137 pounds) and Matt Staggs (154 pounds). Placing fourth were Tyler Tatum at 115 pounds, Chris Sexton at 142 pounds and Forrest Cummings at heavy- weight. T.J. Eidhammer (114 pounds) and Cole Conner (191 pounds) each finished fifth.
