A-Bomb Shelter
SAN FRANCISCO---Plans for
San Francisco's first scientific-
ally designed a-bomb shelter
have been announced by the
Metropolitah L i f e Insurance
Company.
The shelter will be incorpo-
rated in the cempany's 2,500,-
000 expansion of its headquar-
ters here. The Metropolitan's
office building is located on
Stockton Street between Pine
and Calflbrnia Streets. A pre
ent wing of the structure runs
down Pine Street toward Grant
Avenue and the new addition
will be a seven-story matching
wing running down California
Street, forming a n interior

The bomb shelter will be the
