The Board discussed the matter of
new sidewalks around the Flumas County
Courthouse with A. J. Watson, County
Surveyor. It was decided that plans and
apecif'ications for these should be pre-
pared at once and bids accepted, by this
Board at its regular meeting to be held
in March 1951.
Motion made by Supervisor Flanaga'n,
seconded bv Supervisor Blackman, that
any Sulterwsor who attended the joint
Defense Council and Con ty Supervisors
Association meeting held ia Sacramento
on Ianuary 12th. 1951, be aIh}wed their
expenses. Carried and so ordered.
Motion made by Supervisor Cloman,
seconded by Supervisor Flanagan, that
copies of tbe letter frnm Mildred E.
Thorcn. M.D., Supt. & Medical Director
of \\;Veimar Joint Sanatorium which is ad-
dressed to the \\;Veimar Hospital Central
Committee, be sent to Dr. Fox and Fred-
eri'k Morley, with the two bills ae-
conpanying "this letter being sent to
Dr. Fex. Carried and so ordered.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Taresh and
family have sold their ranch here
and are moving to Hamilton City.
Mr. and Mrs. Arlen Taresh have
moved to Chico.
Jack King and Henry Mann
went to Reno Tuesday, Jack re-
turned home the same day but
Henry remained for two days
longer.
Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Taresh and
son of Chico spent Tuesday" night
v:ith their daughter, Mrs Neal
Clark and family. Carroll was a
guest of Richard McCutcheon.
Mrs. Margaret Powell is driving
to Greenville every day where she
is clerking at the Variety Store.
She has been employed since the
first of the year.
Mrs. Mary Wing returned home
the first of the week, after spend-
ing a month in Bremerton, Wash.
with her daughter, Mrs. Willard
McCutcheon and family.
Several of the Grangers met

Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Taresh and
son Carroll, Mr. and Mrs. Neat

Leslie were dinner guests Wednes-
day in Greenville of Mr. and Mrs.
Cecil McIntosh and daughter
Myrna. It being the birthday of
:Mrs. Clark. The Taresh's then left
for their home in Chico after be-
ing called here a week before be-
cause of the death of her mother,
Mrs. Lily ,McRorie.
Mr. and Mrs. Loy Donaldson
and daughter Sally went to Reno
Friday returning home'on Satur-
day.
Word was received here that
Mrs. Mary Esani was to be operat-
ed on in Oakland Monday morning.
Her many friends wish her a
speedy recovery.
Mrs. Winn Beacom and son Jay
caught the train Monday to go
to San Francisco to spend a few
days.

spending several days here help-
ing Johnny Sobrero repair his
house that caught fire last fall.
Mr. and Mrs. Aldo Sorsoli were
dinner guests Saturday night of
Mr. and Mrs. Loy Donladson, it
being the birthday anniversary of
Loy's.
Mr. and Mrs. Will Dolphin
drove to Reno Saturday to attend
the wedding of their son Harold
Dolphin and Maxine Coke.
Mr. and Mrs. Nile Pearce, new-
ly-weds, were dinner guests of Mr.
and Mrs. Vinton Pearce and fam-
ily Sunday.

the verge of pneumonia has been
sent to bed for two weeks. Mearle
Stead is also spending a few days
in bed due to the flu.
Wesley Neer and Le Roy Buck-
ner drove to Marysville Saturday
night to attend a dance. Tex Rit-
ter was playing for.
Mr. and _rs. John Young left
Thursday for San Francisco. They
expect to be gone about ten days.
Tom Fisher who is working in
Grass Valley spent one day last
week here.
Mr. and Mrs. Grabner Williams
and children and Mr. and Mrs. Ed
Williams went to Chieo Monday
to visit }Sr. and Mrs. Ernest Lake,
former residents of Englemine.
Bill Burford, accompanied by his
mother, Mrs. Joe Burford spent
a few days in Gennessee. Mrs. Joe
Burford remained here for a longer
visit with her daughter, Mrs. Bill
Burns and Mr. Burns.
Miss Ellen Daffy of San Fran-
cisco visited Friday with Mrs.
Lois McCutcheon.
Ladies Aid held its monthly
meeting Wednesday at the home of
Mrs. Carrie Johnson, with slx
