to the County Hospital early ues-
day morning suffering from ex-
posure.

the County Hospital last week. He
will be transferred to the State
Hospital in Napa.

Fort Bragg are spending a few
days with her father, Caudie Neer

Special recognition for outstand-
ing services to crippled youngsters
during the past year has been giv-
en the Crippled Children's Society
of Ptumas County.
In a year-end report to the board
of directors of the California Soc-
iety for Crippled Childreri, Harry
A Mitchell, president of the state-
wide organization, praised the Pin-
mas Society for its extensive pro-
gram of aid.
Reviewing the accomplishments
of the Plumas Society, Mr. Mit-
chell called attention to the hos-
pital care and medical and dental
services given crippled children
throughout the county
He also commended the Society
for their transporting of children
to and from schools and clinics,
recreational activities, and for pro-
riding, glasses, wheel chairs, and
similiar aids to handicapped child-
ren.
The Crippled Children's Society
of Plumas County, of which Mrs+
Robert Erbeck is president, will
launH its fund appeal through
the Easter Seal Campaign on Feb-
ruary 25
The Plumas Society is one of
the 41 orgmizations affiliated
with the California Society for
Crippled Children. Together these
county societies cover approxi-
mately 98 per cent of the state's
population. Their aim is the rehab-
ilitation of every handicapped child
in California. They do not dupli-
cate services offered by any other
organization, public or private.
