The announcement came from CCCBCA President Paul Moore. Stone, a sophomore from Carson City, finished last year with a 3.93 GPA. He is the first Golden Eagle select- ed to the first team during coach Terry Baumgartner's four year tenure. Stone was also a unani- mous first team All Golden Valley Conference infielder last spring. He finished sec- ond in the state in hitting during the regular season, posting a .508 batting aver- age. The 2010 Golden Eagle baseball team is also up for the Pepsi Scholar Team Award, which is awarded to the team with the highest GPA in the state of Cali- fornia. The Golden Eagles posted a 3.40 GPA as a team last spring, while compiling a state best 31-7 overall record. FRC's Kyle Stone finished last year with a .508 batting average and a 3.93 GPA.
