Sam Kingdon Sr. and wife motored to Susanville last Wed- nesday evening for a visit. Last week Mr. and Mrs. Paul Tatro and family went to Susan- ville on both Tuesday and Wed- nesday evenings to see their son Kenny, and Johnny North play in the All-Star Little League baseball games. Linda Tatro re- mained until Sunday when Jess Sorsoli brought both her and his daughter, Diane, back for a visit. Last Friday the Tatros took her back to Susanville. Jay Haker, his wife and boys were visiting last weekend from Anderson, with his parents the Bill Hakers of Crescent Mills. Hazel Calhoun has been re- ported out of a Berkeley hospital1 after undergoing an eperation and is getting along nicely. -. and Mrs. Bert Radick, parents of Mrs. Francis Tatro spent a weekend with her lately. Anona Solovieff, of San Fran- cisco, arrived Thursday for a short visit with her daughter and family, Mrs. Joan Cox. A1 Nye, wife Lois, and daugh- ter arrived on Thursday for a visit with the Bill Nyes here, and to take back their other daughter Margaret, who had been visiting. They returned to their home in Oakland on Sun- day. Tom DePue announced that he is making plans to move to the valley soon, from Crescent Mills. The Powers family in Dixie Canyon gave a picnic for the Cheney Studs Little League team at their home on Thursday even- ing. Jeff Reith attended from Crescent Mills. Afterwards they all accompanied their reshaper, Jim Roulsten, to the hot springs in Greenville for a swimming party. Earl Hooks and family left on Tuesday of last week for Al- bany after spending a vacation with Veva Riehl, Mrs. Hook's mother. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Tanner of Sacramento, spent last week- end with parents, George Tan- ners. Her husband Bill drove her to Reno where she boarded a plane on Sunday for there. The funeral will be held on Monday and all of Crescent Mills extends their deepest sympathy. Wayne Sorsoll returned Sat- urday fater spending the wek with his parents in Sacramento. Mrs. Paul Tatro motored to Red Bluff one evening last week to take Joyce Waits where she .was joined by her fiance, John Tatro who is in the service.
