2C Wednesday, May 18, 2011 Bulletin, Progressive, Record, Reporter GOLF RESULTS Graeagle Meadows Women&apos;s Golf Club Following the general meet- ing, the members of the Graeagle Women's Golf Club teed off at a 10 a.m. shotgun start on their second game of the season. The game of the day on this brisk sunny morn- ing was "putts." The winner in the first flight was Kathy Siple with 26 putts. Debbie Pe- terson came in second with 28 putts. Cathy Churchill took third place with 30 putts. In the second flight Dee Walker took first place with 28 putts. Sharon Rogers took second place with 29 putts. Third place was won by Ellen Fearing with 30 putts. Jay Fisher took first place in the third flight with a score of 32. Pat Grew and Annie Fischer tied for second place with 33 putts. Mt. Huff Golf Wednesday scramble Finally spring again, and the Wednesday Morning Scramble at Mt. Huff Golf Course has resumed play! Wednesday, May 11, brought out a bunch of enthu- siastic golfers! Competition was brisk and ended in a tie between two teams. Team A consisted of Gary Hughes, Darel Joseph, Loren Lindner and Mike Firth. Team B consisted of Bob Clark, Jack Thatcher and Ralph Cote. Closest to the pin was won by Loren Lindner while Gary Hughes took the honors for the chip-in competition. Whitehawk Ranch Ladies Golf Club The 2011 golf season at Whitehawk got off to a great start. The weather was warm which brought out 10 ladies May 3. The game was Progres- sive 666. The team of Virginia Luhring, Arline Simpson, Del- la Miller and Cynthia Faulk won with a 122. Patsy Purvis and Della Miller shared the chip-in pot. May 10 the game was Whack and Hack. Lowest gross score and highest gross score combined for a team score on each hole. The win- ning team with a 196 was Mar- cia Zeigler, Arline Simpson and Della Miller. Mt. Huff Thursday Night Scramble We had another wonderful evening of golf for our Thurs- day Night Scramble. Eight teams blew in and enjoyed the course, the view and the ca- maraderie. The teams of David Smuts, Gary Hughes, Darel Joseph and Jeff Stevens tied with the team of Gary Metzdorf, Bobby Ball and Don Guess at five un- der. Jeff Stevens and Bobby Ball chipped for the win, with Jeff's team coming out the big winner. Chuck Thrall put the ball closest to the pin and Bobby Ball had the longest drive. The evenings are warm and long so we would love to have you here. We are having a Night Tournament May 28 which is always a super fun time and the World Fa- mous Big "6" Tournament will be held May 30. Call for information or to sign up.
