Want to write but not sure what to write about? Come to the Memoir Writing Work- shop being held across four Saturdays in May and June at Books & Beyond, 140 Main St. in Old Town Chester. Award winning writer Margaret Elysia Garcia will take participants through the beginnings of memoir writ- ing. Her memoir work has been published in online and print journals, most notably in The Sun magazine. She's also currently working on a book-length one of her own. She will cover the entire process: from focusing on what aspect of your life to write about, writing from images and events and through to a finished story or on the road to a longer work. Eacb workshop will consist of a writing exercise, some sharing and critique and suggestions for further read- ing and development. Topics covered will be "Writing from Images," "Developing the Story" with dramatic elements, "A Writer in the Family," "Publication and Self-Publication" and more.
